Join myself and Ekphrastic Review Founder, author and art historian Lorette C. Luzajic for an ekphrastic microfiction workshop grappling with the subject of forbidden love. Dangerous couplings, infidelities, fraught love affairs are complex realities of the human condition. As Emily Dickinson once wrote, the heart wants what it wants. Art history is full of passionate affairs and brutal betrayals that can inspire our stories with one of the great themes of literature.

The workshop is asynchronous and online to accommodate various schedules and time zone considerations. Participants will connect in a private Facebook group and work at their own pace. You will write a microfiction story each day, choosing from a wide variety of prompts and inspirations on the theme. Each of your three stories will receive supportive feedback from both of us!
