Six-Sentence Story Workshop: July 18th-20th: Online & Asynchronous
Find out why writers are obsessed with this seemingly simple form!
July 18th-20th. THE SIX SENTENCE STORY WORKSHOP IS BACK!!!
In this 3-day microfiction workshops with Meg Pokrass, participants will be creating stories using the constraint of the six-sentence structure.
We’ll be drawing inspiration from story models hand-selected from Gooseberry Pie Magazine and Six Sentences Blogspot.
I’m excited to be teaching this structure again! It’s a form I love. My collection of six-sentence stories, co-authored with Robert Scotellaro, BREATH AND SHADOW: SIX SENTENCE STORIES, is out from Mad Hat Press.
The workshop will be small and supportive—with helpful teacher and peer feedback. There will be no live zoom meeting to attend, nothing time-specific. It will be hosted in a private Facebook group. Word count limit per story— 200 words. 3 stories per student.
Cost for the workshop is £120 GBP for non-subscribers, and $110 GBP for paid subscribers to this newsletter.
