Serenading the Penguin: Uplifting Micros
A 3-Day Microfiction Pop-up Workshop:
November 30th-Dec. 2nd
In this 3-day microfiction workshop, participants will creating stories of 200 words or less. I can tell you from personal experience that writing sad and difficult material can be emotionally strenuous, and it’s an important time to conserve our energy. I invite you to stop worrying about what we think we should be writing and start writing what we want to write. In this workshop we will be thumbing our nose at the stress of these crazy times we’re living through, and actively looking for the light and humor.
The workshop will be held in a private Facebook group. Participants will be creating 3 total stories and sharing them with a group of warm and welcoming peers. As always, will be sending out story models and prompts a few days before we begin.
The workshop will be held asynchronously. I will offer feedback on every story, and others in the group will be encouraged to offer feedback as well. There are no live zoom meetings to attend, nothing time-specific, it is all conducted in a private Facebook group when convenient for each participant. Enrolment links below:
