100-Word-Story Workshop: Summer Heat June 21st-23rd
A spontaneous pop-up workshop in June!
In this 3-day generative microfiction workshop, participants will be creating stories using the 100-word story constraint. More and more literary magazines these days are open to (and hungry for) such bite-sized micro-truffles! The open-ended theme for this workshop is “summer heat” (heat can be used literally or metaphorically). Summer temperatures are rising, and heat itself can be great creative fodder. There is also the idea of working with the heat we’re feeling about the erratic political landscape.
Before the workshop begins, participants will receive story models and prompts. There will be feedback from me directly on every story, as well as peer feedback. The workshop will be held in a private Facebook group.
